Angel Tobias is a dedicated big sister and guardian of her brother Rex Jr, who has an intellectual disability and autism. Together with their brother, they enjoy carpool karaoke. In 2022, Junior experienced a traumatic mental health event, which inspired Angel to recommit to advocacy. As a result of her family's experience, Angel completed her Partners in Policymaking certificate and was recognized as The Arc of Illinois' Volunteer of the Year.
